Transforming the Urban Jungle into a Permaculture Paradise 🌿✨

There is something deeply satisfying about taking an overgrown, tangled urban landscape and alchemizing it into a pristine space for life to thrive. I’m excited to share the first timelapse from my recent work with my new business Sovereign Seed Designs at the Honeycomb Arts and Wellness Collective!

This was a total revitalization. The process involved:
🌲 Chainsawing down a severly overgrown pine hedge and chasing grape vines to the root to clear the canopy of old vines and new ones strangling the hedge row

🌿 Heavy weeding of all the pollinator beds, thistle was running wild, and we had a whole patch of deadly nightshade that had to go, cant have a children friendly teaching garden with that as acessible as it was and I finished by cutting back the overgrowth of the English ivy to reveal a beautiful rock line.

🪨 Building out a massive rock bed to anchor the blessing of the butterfly into the garden space, with plans for a flower display around it

🚶‍♂️ Carving out deliberate paths for people to wander in the blooming pollinator gardens without disturbing the giggles of the Earth

We are laying the groundwork for a self-sustaining ecosystem right here in the city.

This video is just the front pollinator gardens, we are barely scratching the surface. Keep your eyes peeled; I have so much more footage coming from the rest of the property. We are just getting started on turning this space into a permaculture oasis👨🏼‍🌾🚜🌻

That means healthier soil through the use of organic of pest management, less waste through composting and home grown food, more beauty and life in your day to day, and bountiful harvests that keep coming back season after season without starting from scratch.

Every project is led personally by Bryce Gaetano, a hands-on designer with real experience growing heirloom crops regeneratively, planting practical herbs for dye, basket making, and more, and creating year-round stunning displays of flowers. He has spent 15 years working in the field of regenerative agriculture and permaculture design through WWOOFing, Permaculture Certification, and a consistent dedication to sustainability in every space he touches.
