⚡ We help each other on job sites. Let's check-in about mental health, too.
June is awareness month.
Be the light in someone's darkness.
June is Men’s Mental Health Month, making it the perfect time to open up the conversation within our trades.
In the construction and utility industries, there is a deep-rooted culture of "toughing it out" and keeping things buried. We check our gear and we check our rigs every single day—but we don't always check in on our crew or ourselves.
Mental strength isn't about carrying an impossible load alone; it’s about having the courage to speak up when things get heavy. True brotherhood and sisterhood mean looking out for each other on and off the clock.
If you or a brother you work with is struggling, grinding through a dark place, or just feeling overwhelmed, you don’t have to fight that battle in silence.
⚠️ Resources Available 24/7:
The 988 Lifeline: You can call or text 988 anytime, day or night, for free, confidential support from someone who understands.
Union EAP: Don't forget to check your local's health and welfare benefits for your Employee Assistance Program (EAP) resources, which offer free counseling sessions for members and their families.
Let’s smash the stigma, look out for our crews, and make sure every member makes it home safe—mind and body. ✊⚡️
