Triumphantly, after two initial denials from USAA for my active duty client, I successfully advocated for a third-party re-inspection by an independent adjuster, not a staff adjuster. This crucial step led to the approval of a significant repair initially, followed by coverage for half of the roof, and ultimately, the third re-inspection resulted in the insurance company covering the entire roof replacement for 73 squares.

Ensuring the insurance company acknowledged the steep pitch of 12/12 for 90% and 12/16 for the remaining portion, including essential components like drip edge, starter, and ice and water protection, required persistence.

These elements are vital to a roofing system, and it's crucial homeowners work with a licensed, insured, and reputable General Contractor with extensive experience to navigate insurance claims and ensure their home is restored to its pre-loss condition.

Additionally, homeowners may have extra coverage through Law & Ordinance that mandates compliance to code, safeguarding against subpar repairs that could lead to leaks, inferior roofing, and costly interior damage down the line.
