Another one approved! ✅ Our team completed the underground rough-in on this home earlier this summer, and we recently returned to finish the above-ground rough-in. The job passed inspection and is ready for the next phase. 💪🔧

🚨 Sewer Line Save 🚨

This home had a collapsed interior main drain, so our team stepped in and handled it start to finish 💪

✔️ Removed flooring & walls as needed
✔️ Jackhammered and excavated inside
✔️ Installed 60 feet of brand-new PVC sewer line
✔️ Tied into the existing PVC serving a basement bathroom that had been added previously
✔️ Next up — replacing the last section of cast iron outside and tying everything together

Good news for the homeowner — the rest of their main sewer had already been upgraded to PVC, so we’re bringing the whole system up to par 👍

Once we wrap up, restoration comes in to put everything back like we were never there. That’s how it’s done.

🚧 THIS ONE REALLY TESTED US 🚧

This job definitely didn’t go as planned 😅 but our crew stepped up and got it DONE. 💪

We completed a full exterior sewer replacement after discovering the old clay sewer line was completely packed with roots 🌳🚫. Once we excavated, we replaced everything with Schedule 40 PVC for a long-lasting solution.

Just when we thought we were in the clear…
➡️ We ran into 6” clay pipe (very uncommon for residential)
➡️ Discovered a hidden 2” kitchen branch line missed during inspection
➡️ Found the main sewer running directly under the home’s water line, requiring removal and reinstallation 💧
➡️ Had to remove part of the sidewalk for proper access 🚶‍♂️

And to top it all off… our excavator tipped over in the trench 🤦🏼‍♂️
We chose a smaller machine to fit through the customer’s gate so we wouldn’t have to remove their fence — lesson learned 😬

Despite every curveball, our team worked late, solved every issue, and had the customer back online with water and sewer the SAME DAY 👏

✅ We’ll also be returning to pour the sidewalk back and spread grass seed & straw, leaving the property in great shape once everything settles.

What was supposed to be a routine sewer replacement turned into a major challenge — and that’s exactly where experience matters. When the unexpected happens, G-Tech Plumbing delivers.
