Project management is what makes erosion control actually work.

It’s not just about installing controls — it’s about how everything is planned, timed, and executed on site.

Here’s what proper project management brings to erosion control:

✔️ Better planning
Controls are placed based on grading phases — not guesswork.

✔️ Proper sequencing
Installation follows site progression, avoiding early failure or late response.

✔️ Inspection readiness
Everything is installed with compliance and verification in mind.

✔️ Cost control
Preventing issues reduces rework, delays, and unexpected expenses.

✔️ System performance
All elements work together — ensuring the site performs as intended over time.

At Delcid, our team combines field experience with project management to ensure every erosion control system is planned, executed, and performs as expected.

⚠️ One mistake here… and the whole system fails.

In this stage of installation, both horizontal and vertical measurements are critical.

• Horizontal spacing between perforations ensures proper water distribution along the pipe.
• Vertical elevation controls how water enters, flows, and exits the system.

If either one is off:
• Water won’t drain properly
• Pressure builds up in the wrong areas
• The system can fail or not pass inspection

This is why we verify:
✔️ Perforation spacing
✔️ Pipe alignment
✔️ Elevation from grade

Erosion control is more than installation — it’s responsibility.

Every project involves planning, ex*****on, and compliance with regulations that, if overlooked, can lead to delays, fines, and long-term issues.

At Delcid Erosion Control, we approach each site with a clear understanding of what’s at stake — from proper project management to meeting required standards in the field.

What you see on the surface is only part of the job.

In erosion control, every detail responds to something you don’t always see — water movement, pressure points, and how runoff will behave once it hits the ground.

Placement is not random.
It’s based on experience, understanding the terrain, and anticipating problems before they happen.

When that part is done right, the site stays controlled — even after the rain.

This is where erosion control actually starts.

Before the rain, before the runoff — decisions are already made on how water will move across the site.

The silt fence is not just placed… it’s aligned with the terrain, defining limits, controlling flow, and protecting what’s outside the work area.

When it’s done right, you don’t notice problems — because they never happen.

It may look like just stone at the end of a road…
but it’s engineered protection.

🔹 It’s not random rock — it’s calculated riprap.
Stone size is selected based on flow rate, velocity, slope, and soil conditions. Too small, it washes away. Too large, it becomes inefficient and costly.

🔹 Its purpose is energy dissipation.
As stormwater travels down pavement, it gains speed and erosive force. The riprap slows that energy before it reaches protected areas beyond the Limits of Disturbance (LOD).

🔹 There’s more beneath the surface.
Proper subgrade preparation, geotextile liner, grading, and transition details are critical. Without them, failure happens at the first major storm.

🔹 What you don’t see is what it prevents.
Erosion beyond LOD. Inspection issues. Rework. Liability.

In erosion control, details matter — especially the ones that don’t look complicated.

Before vertical construction begins… the ground has to hold.

● Erosion doesn’t wait.
● Sediment doesn’t pause.
● Stormwater doesn’t negotiate.

That’s why proper erosion control isn’t a checkbox — it’s part of protecting your schedule, your inspection timeline, and your investment.

At Delcid Erosion Control, we focus on doing it right the first time — stabilizing, protecting, and keeping your project moving forward.

🇺🇸 Presidents’ Day

In the early years of the United States, one of the first challenges engineers faced wasn’t buildings — it was the land itself.
Roads, canals and foundations had to be protected from erosion before anything else could last.

Today the principle is the same:
Before construction stands, the ground must hold.

At Delcid Erosion Control, we help projects start right — stabilizing, protecting, and preparing the site so everything built on top can endure.

Wishing our partners and community a meaningful Presidents’ Day.

🌱 Hydroseeding for slope stabilization

Hydroseeding was applied to provide uniform coverage and support erosion control on this slope.

A Triple Blend Fescue mix was used, suitable for surface stabilization in sloped areas.

Proper application at this stage helps reduce erosion and supports an efficient site closeout.
