Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional to oversee sales, estimating, project management, and field coordination for concrete surface preparation, resinous floor coatings, and polished concrete projects. This role combines customer relationship management with operational leadership to ensure projects are completed safely, profitably, and at a high level of quality.
The ideal candidate understands concrete preparation methods, coating systems, polished concrete processes, and has strong communication and organizational skills. This individual will act as the primary point of contact from initial customer consultation through project completion.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
* Generate and develop leads for polished concrete, epoxy flooring, urethane cement, and concrete surface preparation projects
* Conduct site visits to assess project scope, substrate conditions, and customer needs
* Prepare accurate estimates and proposals
* Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, facility managers, architects, and property owners
* Follow up on bids and negotiate contracts
* Identify opportunities for upselling maintenance programs and additional flooring services
Project Management
* Coordinate scheduling, manpower, equipment, and materials for multiple projects
* Manage projects from pre-construction through final walkthrough
* Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
* Communicate project expectations and timelines with customers and crews
* Monitor job costs, change orders, and project profitability
* Maintain project documentation, daily reports, and closeout records
Surface Preparation & Technical Oversight
* Oversee concrete grinding, shot blasting, scarifying, crack repair, and moisture mitigation operations
* Ensure proper substrate preparation for coatings and polished concrete systems
* Verify compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
* Troubleshoot jobsite issues related to coatings adhesion, concrete conditions, and polishing outcomes
* Ensure equipment is properly maintained and utilized safely
Team Leadership & Safety
* Supervise field crews and subcontractors
* Train employees on proper surface preparation techniques and coating applications
* Enforce OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures
* Conduct jobsite inspections and quality control checks
* Promote a positive, professional work environment
Qualifications
* Experience in concrete coatings, polished concrete, or industrial flooring preferred
* Knowledge of surface preparation equipment and methods
* Experience estimating and managing commercial flooring or concrete projects
* Strong understanding of epoxy, polyurethane, polyaspartic, and polished concrete systems
* Ability to read blueprints and project specifications
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
* Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to jobsites as needed
Preferred Skills
* Experience with CRM and project management software
* Knowledge of moisture testing and remediation systems
* Understanding of OSHA safety regulations
* Sales and negotiation experience in commercial construction or flooring industries
Physical Requirements
* Ability to walk jobsites and industrial facilities
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
* Comfortable working in construction and warehouse environments
