Yes, your thermostat may be more advanced these days and can even give you an idea of what might be wrong. And sure, you can plug that information into ChatGPT and get some suggestions.
BUT… if you’re not an HVAC technician, you still don’t know what to test, how to test it, or what those readings actually mean. And if you don’t know what you’re looking for from the start, you can’t accurately diagnose the problem.
Technology can be a great tool, but it doesn’t replace experience, training, and proper testing.
Leave the diagnosis to an actual HVAC tech. Your thermostat or Chatgbt can give you a clue… but it can’t replace a professional diagnosis! 🔧
