A damage survey or claim investigation job is very complicated and has the potential for "confusion" if the damage surveyors / claim investigator is someone who does not have in-depth experience, someone who has not experienced investigation and appraisal work, he or she doesn't have a deep understanding of insurance, isn't familiar with commercial law, doesn't have experience in transportation, doesn't understand the nature of the object being damaged, doesn't have enough data about the shipment, container, or ship. For example 1, if a ship collision investigator does not understand the law of ship navigation or has never worked as a ship master roles, he does not have enough experience to investigate ship collision accidents.
