From the suburban and regulatory context results the archetypal form of the double-sided house, a shared family home for two brothers, located on Örebro, Sweden.
This is increased by a peripheral terrace sheltered by a roof overhang forming alternately a full roof.

This scenography of the exposed wooden frame forms a strong interior/exterior continuity and gives an exotic and warm side to this pagoda, which is nevertheless very Alsatian.

The facade/roof materiality in steel cladding with fine waves of deep green/black integrates it into the large wooded landscape of this entrance and recalls the surrounding agricultural constructions.

A local and contextual exoticism, an outstretched hand to its environment.

Form without substance could, not coincidentally, be an apt description of present culture as a whole, dominated as it is by the image in preference to tactile reality.

After forms, we might say, comes architecture.

Only the word house is a manifest misnomer - just a flat piece of ground where the operating company provides visual images, and the rest of situation comes in wheels. You bring your own seat, heat and shelter. You also bring cookies, spare clothes, shoes…
This can never replace the time-honored ranch-style tri-level standing proudly in a landscape of five defeadet shrubs, flanked on one side by a ranch-style tri-level…
