A little portrait, holding a lifetime of love 💗
Recently, I received a very special request,a portrait of a beloved dog who had passed away, created as a gift for their loving owner. It means so much to me to be trusted with something this emotional. Seeing their happiness made my heart full.
There’s something deeply beautiful and a little bittersweet about painting someone who’s no longer with us… but in a way, they get to live on forever through this.

“The wind in the willows”

A little piece of my childhood, reborn in art.

Today I’m sharing a mini portrait collection inspired by “The Wind in the Willows” / "මණ්ඩුක බවන"rooted in the memories of the stop motion animated series we grew up watching on Sirasa TV
Produced by Cosgrove Hall Films, It’s a celebrated adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s classic tale, originally brought to life in the 1980s with a quiet, timeless magic.

I also went back to the original book illustrations by E.H. Shepard, alongside those nostalgic stop motion characters, and created small portraits of the four souls who made that world feel like home.

A heartfelt thank you to the creators and artists behind this beautiful world, for filling our childhood with something so gentle, magical, and unforgettable.

This collection is for the 90’s kids… for the nostalgia, the warmth, and the stories that never truly left us❤️
