Stump Grinding, what’s that?!
When a tree service professional asks if you want the stump(s) to be ground, you may have further questions!
🪵 Stump grinding removes the stump of a tree while leaving underground roots intact
🪵 Following surface roots is an option but can be more expensive and cause more damage to the yard
🪵 Stump grinding can be just at the surface, or in the case of my machine, it can go down to 12 inches below the highest ground surface
🪵 90% of the time, unless an additional fee is charged, the mulch shavings will NOT be removed from the area. The shavings are left to be used as fillers for the newly disturbed area
🚨 It is recommended to have your underground lines marked before hiring a company for tree removal/stump grinding 🚨
📝 Lastly, regardless of how large or small a job is, make sure to request a certificate of insurance and verify the insurance before the job begins 📝
