What look like normal power points on the surface turned out to be significantly damaged and extremely dangerous. This was found across 8 power points in the home after the customer reported nuisance tripping of their safety switch. If you are experiencing unexplained nuisance tripping be sure to contact your licensed electrical contractor to investigate.

During the removal of tiles for a kitchen renovation, a local builder discovered wiring that had been tiled over. A quick visit from AEC discovered the wiring had been left live in the wall since the last renovation. If you ever discover wiring like this, always treat it as being live and have it checked by your licensed electrical contractor.

A recent upgrade from porcelain re-wireable fuses to RCBO safety switches for a valued client. Internal wiring of this switchboard included rubber insulated cabling which was outlawed in the 1970’s due to high risk of fires.
