Decent sized bag and grab on a wasp nest this afternoon, they had started to become a problem, and with small children living at the property, they had outstayed thier welcome.

Bit of a close call for a customer this week, when they discovered a Hornets nest in thier riding helmet.

I was on site at one of my regular jobs this week, and things quickly got exciting.
A swarm of honey bees has swarmed from a chimney at the property, they were showing interest in a gap in the sofit for a potential new home, so it was straight onto the phone to Mr Buzz himself Robert Turrell The Barefoot Beeman .
He dropped everything and was on site in 20 minutes, and we made a quick plan and up on the roof, and within a couple of minutes he had spotted the queen and she was safely put in a clip and placed in the nuc box. Then it was a bit of scheming to get the box close to rest of the colony and entice them into thier new home, which with a bit of guidance they soon did, and then they were secured and off to a quiet spot in the Norfolk countryside to continue the good that they do.

One of this weeks jobs, rats had previously made thier way indoors and made a nuisance of themselves, they had gained access under the tiles, tracking dust confirmed this as you could clearly see thier route under the tiles with visible tail marks, and the damage they had caused. Unable to stop them getting up to the roof due to the nature of the property, so damaged membrane was repaired and I fitted metal bird comb to prevent future access.
