Spring is in full bloom and trees are budding. If they’re not, they may need to be removed.

Keep your eye out for dead or dying trees in your yard to get them removed soon, before they become dangerous. Our most common hazard trees are dead Ash. They will look like the photos below.

This tree stands out like a sore thumb with no buds/leaves among the others, and upon closer inspection the bark is falling off. You can see those zig zag patterns are actually the Emerald ash borer (EAB) larvae that feed underneath the bark and kill the tree from the inside out. These trees are very common in our area and can be problematic for homeowners.

Every three years a certified arborist is required to go through a recertification process, which involves completing continuing education credits or passing a comprehensive exam, in order to stay up to date on the latest techniques in arboriculture. Luke Sidey, owner of Climb High Tree Guy - Tree Service & Stump Grinding, LLC, has been an ISA certified arborist for 10 years and recently completed his recertification.
