Oh what a beautiful morning. Yesterday was a frosty start and full of the promises of Spring. It was very crisp and bright, colours were vibrant and even the river was steaming. Snowdrops and iris were out with daffodils 🌼 on their way.
More days like this please 😍

What a sunrise and sunset on Christmas Eve! The village looked very beautiful tonight, Ruby and I even saw midges on our stroll.

Crikey what an awful weather weekend . Finally finished our Christmas wreaths for this year and festive pots… so just waiting for 🎅!

Bbbrrrr a snow day in Derbyshire with at least 3inches snow ❄️ overnight. No gardening today…. An indoor day for Ruby and I prepping Christmas wreaths.
Realise I’ve not posted recently, so here’s afew photos over Autumn. We’ve been busy with winter planting and leaves, leaves, leaves 🍂 😉. Hope you’re all well and warm!

So here we are at Easter 🐣! After what was seemingly the darkest, wettest winter, we’re heading into April wondering where the last 3 months went!
We’ve been busy in the gardens cutting back evergreens, pruning, shaping, enjoying the bulbs we planted in October, even had our first garden fire and grass mow!
Of course tea breaks and “cake moments” have been mandatory!

Official “snow days” have been great this week, with the ground and gardens being frozen solid. Check out the hare tracks in the snow and this morning’s sunrise.
Hope you’ve all made it through the 🥶 conditions… and now bracing yourselves for Storm Isha!
We much prefer the sun, blue sky and ice to the lashing rain and wind 😂😂!
