One of the great feats of engineering I have witnessed in my concrete career has been the transformation of Ox Mountain Landfill in Half Moon Bay. When I first started, that road in the bottom pic was flat. Now - it looks like Olympus Mons on Mars! The top pic is how they create the next dumping site, and they will build the mountain from there. Incredible!
