"Support towers were installed using 24” steel pipe piling, and a shoring system designed by Lail Bridge Forms, Inc. Jasper, TN. A total of four towers were needed to align, support, and allow for the fitting and welding of the four connection points. Once the individual pieces were installed, surveyed for location and elevation, it required two welders approximately 72 hours each to complete the connection. Once all the welding was completed the towers were lowered to an elevation to allow for the blasting and painting of the welded areas with a 3-coat painting system by TJC Painting Contractors, Inc. of Chester, SC.
