HDPE ( High Density Polyethylene) is the most widely used geosynthetic liner today. It enjoys particularly high acceptance in the waste and mining industries. A cost effective and environmentally beneficial solution for protecting pipelines from internal corrosion and abrasion using high density polyethylene pipe. Applications include potable water, pressurised sanitary sewers, oil and gas pipelines, slurry and tailings pipelines. Basic and general knowledge of liner installation types will ensure successful project. This system utilizes thermoplastic lining inside a steel pipe, effectively combining the strength of steel with the corrosion, chemical and abrasion resistance of thermoplastic. Available with MONOLITHIC FLARED ENDS or PRE FORMED STUB ENDS.

Prime Line Projects is able to offer TWO methods of HDPE PIPE LINING:
Factory lined in a controlled environment ready to be delivered to site for immediate use on a project basis or stocked for use as needed. The benefits of this system include overall project cost savings through a stock piling solution, that puts the control of the project schedule in your hands with the assurance of installing a high-quality, thermoplastic lined pipe solution.
Insitu lining, enables our expert installation team to line pipes on site. By having the Prime Line Team work hand in hand with your Steel pipe Installer, we are able to help save time and transport costs. Depending on diameter, bends, terrain and condition of the steel, the maximum pull length section can be up to 1000meters.

The Afrisam Quarry in Olifantsfontein, is a leading supplier of Redimix Cement to the South African construction Industry, and as the Quarry grows, they encounter more effects of the Undergound Water Table. Prime Line Projects was brought in to supply and install a 350mm HDPE drainage line, transporting 250litres of water a second.
Over a 2 day maintenance shut down, PLP was able to lay and weld over half a kilometre of piping, including an 80meter unground portion before the 20ton Weigh Bridge.

When Prime Line Projects was given an Emergency phone call from the City Of Ekurhuleni Metro about the Dam Wall Collapse over Christmas 2018, we jumped at the opportunity help alleviate the disaster stricken area from flooding. Between Christmas Day and New Year’s days, we installed 6 Syphon Lines to drain Benoni Lake into the runoff channels so that repair to the Dam Wall could commence.
We worked together with EMS services / EMPD / Ekuhuleni Fire Department and the Department of Water and Sanitation, closely monitored by the Mayor of Benoni and Local Government.
