Gustav Engelbrecht has 36 years expertise in the thatching industry , as the founder member of Traditional Thatch Roofs South Africa and a Master Thatcher.

We offer services for thatch fire retardant and lightening conductors throughout South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho Swaziland and Zimbabwe.

Lightening Conductor

The installation is done in the requirements of SABS 10313/2018 with certification for insurance purposes

Thatch Fire Retardent

Thatch Marshall 8000 fire retardant is sprayed both externally and internally with a double application under the overhang.

As per requirements of section 8, standard ASTM E108/section 8.2.3 of standard SANS/10407:2006 with certification for insurance purposes.

It is a standard requirement from the majority of insurance companies to have fire protection in the event of any claim.
