Show of Force and visibility this morning at AFGRI in Belfast.
High-visibility patrols were conducted in the area to deter criminal activity, enhance public safety and reassure residents, businesses and visitors that Hi-Tech Security remains vigilant and committed to fighting crime.

WHY IS REPORTING CRIME IMPORTANT?
No matter how big or small a crime may seem, it needs to be reported. A crime only becomes part of the official statistics once it has been reported to SAPS.
When crimes go unreported, it creates an inaccurate picture of crime trends and can make it more difficult for authorities and security providers to identify patterns, allocate resources and apprehend suspects. In many cases, when suspects are eventually caught, there is no case number or complainant to link them to the crime.

Reporting crime is important because it:
✔️ Helps identify crime trends and allocate resources effectively.
✔️ Assists in tracking stolen vehicles and suspects.

SUSPECT ARRESTED
A client contacted our Reaction Officers for assistance regarding a suspicious person. Our Officers responded swiftly to the scene and apprehended a suspect who was allegedly caught stealing a tablet. The suspect was escorted, together with the client, to the local SAPS station where a theft case was opened. Well done to our Reaction Officers for their quick response and professional handling of the incident.

Don’t leave valuables in plain sight inside your vehicle, especially laptops, handbags, cellphones, shopping bags, cameras and other electronic devices.
Safety Awareness Tips when parking your vehicle:
✔️ Avoid parking in areas where there are no security officers or visible security presence.
✔️ Do not leave your firearm in your vehicle’s glove compartment or anywhere inside the vehicle – this is against the law.
✔️ Valuable items should always be locked safely in your vehicle’s boot.
✔️ At night, park in well-lit areas.
✔️ Always remain aware of your surroundings when arriving or leaving.
