A business break-in involving the theft of electrical equipment and electronics was reported in Northmead, Benoni.
According to the incident report, unknown suspects gained unauthorised access to the premises during the early morning hours.
The suspects reportedly entered the building through the roof, causing damage to the structure. A rear door was also found forced open.
CMS received a report of suspicious noises and a vehicle leaving the area, prompting reaction personnel to investigate.
Upon arrival, the responding officer discovered signs of forced entry and extensive disturbance inside the building.
Several valuable items were reported stolen, including solar batteries, a generator and an unknown quantity of laptops, computers and cellphones.
The total value of the stolen property had not yet been established, and no items were reported recovered.
SAPS attended the scene but advised that further information from the business owner was required before a case could be opened.
