An attempted assault was reported in Kempton Park CBD after an individual armed with a kitchen knife reportedly charged toward a member of the public.

Nearby employees intervened and prevented the individual from causing serious harm. One person sustained a minor cut during the intervention. Authorities attended the scene and arrested the suspect.

Two suspects were then reportedly seen tampering with a truck battery before fleeing the area. The battery was not taken, and no theft was reported. The client indicated that a case would be opened directly with the authorities.
