π¨π₯ MAJOR LPG GAS THEFT SYNDICATE EXPOSED β FIVE EMPLOYEES ARRESTED! π₯π¨
π R60,000 IN SUSPECTED LPG FRAUD UNCOVERED β FIVE SUSPECTS APPREHENDED IN A COORDINATED OPERATION!
What started as a suspicious delivery quickly unfolded into a major suspected LPG gas theft and fraud operation involving five employees, an estimated R60,000 in losses, and a coordinated response by Legendary Guardians Exclusive Protection (LGEP).
Through sharp observation, tactical coordination and decisive action, LGEP members successfully intercepted an alleged illegal LPG transaction, leading to five arrests and the exposure of a suspected internal theft operation.
π THE SUSPICIOUS DELIVERY
The operation began when Lima Golf 1 received a call from a concerned client who suspected that employees were illegally loading additional LPG gas cylinders onto a company delivery truck.
The truck was transporting a consignment of empty LPG cylinders. However, the client had reason to believe that at least one full cylinder had been concealed among the empty ones.
The client requested that LGEP discreetly follow the vehicle, monitor its movements and observe the employees' activities without alerting them.
Lima Golf 1 and Lima Golf 12 immediately responded, maintaining a safe distance while tracking the truck.
π¨ CAUGHT IN THE ACT!
During the surveillance operation, the client alerted LGEP that the truck had stopped at an unauthorised location β a location where no LPG deliveries or collections were scheduled.
Recognising the suspicious circumstances, Lima Golf 1 and Lima Golf 12 moved in and strategically boxed in the truck.
The employees were allegedly caught in the act of offloading a full LPG gas cylinder to a street vendor.
Further information indicated that the employees had allegedly been selling company LPG gas to street vendors and dividing the proceeds among themselves.
Three employees were apprehended at the scene and subsequently taken into custody by Alberton SAPS.
π° THREE MONTHS OF LOSSES β AN ESTIMATED R60,000!
The client had previously identified significant financial discrepancies over approximately three months.
The suspected fraudulent activities are believed to have contributed to losses estimated at R60,000.
What appeared to be an isolated incident was now developing into a much larger investigation involving suspected organised internal theft.
π THE INVESTIGATION LEADS TO TWO MORE SUSPECTS!
Following the initial three arrests, further information came to light that implicated two additional employees.
The three arrested individuals allegedly identified two colleagues believed to have been involved in the same fraudulent activities.
Acting on this new information, Lima Golf 12 and Lima Golf 5 immediately proceeded to the client's premises.
Both additional suspects were located while on duty and detained by LGEP members.
Boksburg North SAPS was dispatched to the premises, and the two additional suspects were taken into police custody.
