BEYERSPARK / ACTONVILLE JOINT OPERATION
Areas: Beyerspark, Boksburg / Actonville, Benoni
Incident Type: Suspicious Vehicle / Attempted Kidnapping / Shots Fired / Coordinated Multi-Agency Response
Outcome: One suspect arrested / Unlicensed firearm recovered / Mercedes-Benz & BMW impounded
Status: SAPS investigation ongoing
1. INITIAL INFORMATION RECEIVED
The incident began when an observant CPF S3 member identified a suspicious Mercedes-Benz operating in the Beyerspark, Boksburg area.
The information was immediately communicated to Legendary Guardians Exclusive Protection (LGEP) LG01, as the vehicle was operating within an area covered by LGEP.
At the time, LG01 was travelling in an Uber to collect his company response vehicle. Upon receiving the information, he immediately notified LGEP response officers and issued a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) for the Mercedes-Benz.
2. ATTEMPTED KIDNAPPING AND SHOTS FIRED
Shortly after the initial communication, LG01 observed the suspected Mercedes-Benz in the Beyerspark area.
The Mercedes-Benz was accompanied by a white Toyota Hilux and was involved in an incident during which a Volkswagen Polo was reportedly blocked in and an attempt was made to kidnap its driver.
A total of eight suspects, wearing balaclavas and armed with handguns and rifles, were involved.
LG01 exited the Uber and moved to intervene.
Upon noticing LG01, the suspects opened fire in his direction.
Additional assistance was immediately requested as the suspects fled the area.
The driver of the Volkswagen Polo managed to escape.
3. CCIN NETWORK ACTIVATED
Additional security companies, including AAA and Graphite, responded to the initial scene.
Recognising the importance of getting the information into the wider security network as quickly as possible, available information relating to the incident, suspects and vehicles was circulated on the CCIN WhatsApp group.
This placed multiple private security companies, CPF structures including CPF Benoni, and other operational role-players on alert.
Camera intelligence subsequently detected the suspected Mercedes-Benz travelling in the direction of Actonville, Benoni.
The information was immediately shared, allowing the operational focus to move from Beyerspark towards Actonville.
4. ACTONVILLE INFORMATION RECEIVED
Family members connected to the victim of the earlier incident later reportedly observed the suspected Mercedes-Benz in the Actonville Hostels area.
The information was communicated to LG01 and subsequently circulated through the CCIN network.
Available members and operational units were requested to proceed to the area with sufficient backup.
LGEP LG12 dispatched R03 and notified A-TAC regarding the developing situation.
No Jack was also involved in the response in the Actonville area, assisting alongside the other operational role-players.
The shared intelligence resulted in multiple security companies, CPF Benoni members, No Jack, and supporting units converging on the Actonville area.
5. COORDINATED RESPONSE AND FOOT PURSUIT
During the operation, responding members identified a person believed to be connected to the incident.
A foot pursuit followed through the hostel area.
The response continued to grow as SAPS, CPF Benoni, No Jack, Dr Reza Patel and multiple private security companies and security personnel joined the operation and assisted responding members.
During the operation:
One suspect was arrested.
An unlicensed firearm was recovered.
The suspected Mercedes-Benz was located and impounded.
A BMW connected to the developing investigation was also impounded.
The Mercedes-Benz reportedly returned as a positive vehicle on the relevant system.
The arrested individual and recovered firearm were handed over to SAPS for the appropriate investigation and further legal processes.
Both the Mercedes-Benz and BMW were impounded for further investigation.
6. OPERATIONAL OUTCOME
This operation demonstrates the value and purpose of the CCIN partnership network.

The operation involved information and assistance from:
CPF S3 โข CPF Benoni โข Community Members โข Private Security Companies โข No Jack โข Camera Intelligence Networks โข CCIN Members โข SAPS โข Other Operational Role-Players
Each piece of information contributed to developing the bigger operational picture.
What began as a suspicious vehicle sighting in Beyerspark ultimately developed into a coordinated response extending into Actonville, Benoni.
OPERATIONAL RESULTS
One suspect arrested
One unlicensed firearm recovered
Suspected Mercedes-Benz located and impounded
BMW also impounded for further investigation
Information and intelligence secured for further SAPS investigation
The outcome was achieved through the combined efforts of numerous individuals, organisations and operational structures working toward the same objective.
7. THE CCIN PARTNERSHIP PRINCIPLE
This incident reinforces one of the most important principles behind the CCIN network:
INFORMATION SHARED IS INFORMATION THAT CAN BE ACTED UPON.
Effective crime prevention cannot operate in isolation.
CPF structures, private security companies, law enforcement, camera networks and communities each hold different pieces of information.
When those pieces are brought together through a trusted communication network, they create a far more effective operational picture.
This operation demonstrated what can be achieved when participating organisations place community safety ahead of company branding, competition or individual recognition.
8. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
CCIN extends its appreciation to all individuals and organisations who contributed information, resources and operational assistance during the incident, including:
CPF S3, CPF Benoni, SAPS, Legendary Guardians Exclusive Protection, No Jack, Dr Reza Patel, AAA, Graphite, A-TAC, CCIN members, responding private security companies, community members, the victim's family and all additional role-players who assisted.
Every phone call, radio communication, camera detection, WhatsApp update and responding unit contributed towards the overall operation.
9. INVESTIGATION
The circumstances surrounding the attempted kidnapping, shots fired, eight armed suspects involved, vehicles involved, recovered firearm and involvement of the arrested individual remain subject to further SAPS investigation.
The Mercedes-Benz and BMW have been impounded as part of the investigation, and their possible connection to this or other incidents remains subject to confirmation by SAPS.
Any allegations relating to individuals or vehicles involved remain allegations until confirmed through the appropriate investigation and legal processes.
