Good morning to everyone.

I need some legal advise please. I bought a new engine from hyundai. When my mechanic installed the engine,it's was making a noise. We found out that some of the nuts on the rockers were missing, so I informed hyundai. They gave me new nuts to install. Once we installed the new nuts and adjusted the clearance on the tappets. My mechanic started the vehicle and the engine was still making a noise, so I informed hyundai, they told me to bring the vehicle in for a strip and quote which will cost me an amount of +-R9000 if they find that the noise was caused by the engine been wrongly installation.

i requested a copy of the test report and qc report for the new engine, which they could not provide it to me.

I agreed for them to strip and quote me, to check what is wrong with the engine, only if my mechanic and me where present to witness it, but they refused so I requested them to video the process which they also refused

Please take note that I am a company and I was told that if your turnover is over 3million you can't apply to the ombudsman for assistance.
