Project Complete: Umphakathi Mall

Our technical service team has successfully completed a full maintenance service on 40x Curvent Fire-X 1620EN fusible link smoke ventilators installed at Umphakathi Mall.

Scope of work included a full functional check, cleaning, and servicing of each fusible link smoke vent to ensure they remain 100% operational and ready to perform in the event of a fire — protecting people, stock, and property by venting smoke and heat exactly as designed.

Regular servicing of smoke ventilation systems isn't just good practice, it's essential. Fusible link vents are a passive life-safety system — they only get one chance to work, and proactive maintenance is what keeps them ready.

Project Update: The Forbes — New Residential Units

Curvent is proud to be on site for another exciting HVAC project — The Forbes, an upmarket new residential development nestled in the hills of Waterkloof Heights.

We're honoured to be partnering with Meccanitek Consulting and Pont Projects on this one. Our scope includes new-generation Dunham-Bush inverter split units, together with a complete bathroom and laundry room ventilation system, engineered to deliver comfort and air quality throughout every unit.

Construction is well underway, and we can't wait to share the finished result with you.

The Curvent Fire-X1620 is a natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilator, performance certified to EN 12101-2. It has been independently tested and certified, with its certified design and manufacturing processes subject to ongoing Factory Production Control (FPC) requirements.
