Bridging structural innovation with classic heritage. JNA Group past projects.

The restoration of the iconic Le Franschhoek Hotel & Spa required a delicate balance between preserving a national monument and delivering modern engineering.

JNA Group Thatchers division took on the roof restoration, engineering a solution that integrated A-frame steel structures with Clear Treated South African pine.

The result is a striking thatched roof that grounds this 79-room luxury hotel in its historic Franschhoek Valley roots while elevating its structural integrity.

A stunning finish at Noordhaven.

When the lights go on, the true magic of this build comes alive. This completed project is a testament to the seamless collaboration across our JNA Group divisions. From the grand exposed roof structure to the intricate timber screens and cladding, every detail matters.

The Japanese Cedar cladding, supplied by Universal Plywood and sealed with OSMO oil, brings out the natural grain and glows softly against the night.

Honouring the past through authentic craftsmanship. Our Timber and Thatching divisions had the privilege of working on De Kruis | Tankwa Karoo , a farm in the heart of the Tankwa Karoo.

From masterfully woven thatch to custom timber roof structures, pergolas, and Spaansriet ceilings, every detail was built to preserve the region's legacy.

The first shingle roof at Gondwana.

Both the structure and the shingles were completed by JNA Group’s Roofing Division. Parts of the ring beam are formed in curved steel, and the ridge beam follows the same bend, giving the roof its distinctive sweeping line. A build where engineering and craft had to meet precisely.

Stone and timber, set side by side. Textured stone surfaces meet the warmth of handcrafted wood joinery, giving this cottage bathroom a sense of calm that feels both grounded and refined.

JNA Group's Projects division completed the facelift to this cottage, renewing the home with care while holding on to its original character.

The result is a space where every material has been chosen to age gracefully.
The same considered approach carries through from the living areas into the quieter, more personal rooms of the home.

A blast from the past.

In the late 1990s, JNA took on a rather unique project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia the construction of Jungle Land Theme Park.

The project included large pole structures, timber buildings and roofs finished with natural piaçava palm thatch, bringing a distinctly tropical character to the development.

An interesting chapter in our international project history.
