ADP Construction is looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Kommetjie, Cape Town.

This full time role is ideal for a motivated and detail oriented candidate who is eager to grow within the construction industry. The successful candidate will assist with project estimating, procurement, and cost management across a range of construction projects, working closely with the director, technical engineer, business manager, and project teams.

Key responsibilities include

•⁠ ⁠Measuring quantities from approved client drawings
•⁠ ⁠Assisting with detailed cost estimations for construction projects
•⁠ ⁠Supporting the development of project budgets and monitoring project expenditure
•⁠ ⁠Assisting with scope of work outlines and payment schedules
•⁠ ⁠Obtaining supplier pricing and supporting procurement of materials and supplies
•⁠ ⁠Assisting with project cost control and risk management
•⁠ ⁠Conducting site visits to monitor workmanship, quality and compliance with specifications
•⁠ ⁠Maintaining accurate and organised project documentation
•⁠ ⁠Assisting with cost reporting and providing cost information to the director where required
•⁠ ⁠Supporting project teams with cost advice and general project administration
•⁠ ⁠Assisting with site based project management when required

Requirements

•⁠ ⁠Degree or B-Tech in Quantity Surveying or related field
•⁠ ⁠Professional membership with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP) or eligibility to register
•⁠ ⁠Strong analytical and numerical skills
•⁠ ⁠Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
•⁠ ⁠Good overall computer literacy including email and Google Docs
•⁠ ⁠Knowledge of South African construction regulations and standards
•⁠ ⁠Strong communication and organisational skills
•⁠ ⁠Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•⁠ ⁠Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure
•⁠ ⁠Proactive and solution driven mindset

House Potomac in Noordhoek is a masterclass in blending form, function, and breathtaking views. ADP Construction transformed this coastal property with a first-floor extension, adding a new upper level complete with a kitchen, bathroom, and a custom balau deck framed by tempered glass balustrades. The project introduced a lift for accessibility, refined interior finishes, and full glazing that captures sweeping vistas of the ocean and mountains. Despite the scale of the work, the build was completed with minimal disruption to the original structure, ensuring a seamless flow between old and new. House Bakoven is a showcase of coastal living reimagined ✨

ADP Construction took on a full home renovation and the addition of a secondary dwelling, all while the client remained on-site. The result is a modern three-bedroom main residence and a two-bedroom flatlet, each finished with precision and warmth. House Woolgar in Glencairn is a celebration of character and comfort, reimagined for modern living.

ADP Construction refreshed the interiors with thoughtful structural alterations, removing walls to create inviting archways and restoring the flow between rooms.

New Oregon pine floors and restored original pine bring warmth underfoot, while sash windows and aluminium doors flood the home with light.

The kitchen and bathrooms were completely rebuilt, blending function with timeless style, and all services were upgraded for lasting performance.

This renovation honours the home’s heritage while delivering a bright, open space ready for years of new memories.

Introducing | House K

A 125-year-old heritage home restored with care, vision and craftsmanship. Completed in close collaboration with heritage architect Tony Kiley, House K reflects the level of detail and trust that defines the work we do at ADP Construction.

From the original rock foundations to the new loft skylight, every element of this build was approached with purpose. The goal was to preserve the character of the home while transforming it into a functional and structurally sound space.
