Barely 6 months after construction and planting, our Oak Avenue garden is thriving! What was once a wasted lawn area at the bottom of the garden is now a productive vegetable garden and there will be an abundance of veggies for the holidays. The meadow style planting softens the hard line of the stone walls beautifully. The large firepit and stone seating area provide an ideal location for entertaining over the holidays.

It’s Aloe time!!! 🧡 I love watching the seasons change in my oh-so-easy indigenous verge garden. The Barleria, Plumbago and Freylinia have just finished flowering. Now it’s time for the Aloes & Strelitzia in all their glory, might to the delight of the sunbirds and bees. Soon to be followed by the yellow Leucospermums, Oesteospermum, Gazaneas and Vygies.

BALCONY POTS: we’ve just planted these tall narrow charcoal trough pots on the balcony of our Stonehurst garden. What beautiful views! It’s very exposed to the wind so plants need to be hardy. Looking forward to seeing the Jasmine angulare creepers grow and soften the balustrades. 🌼🌾💚
