Tips On How To Maintain Your Garage Door
1- Consult the owner manual and learn how to use the garage door emergency realize feature.
2- Do not let CHILDREN play with the garage door remote control and make sure the opener control button is out of reach of SMALL CHILDREN.
3- Visually inspect the garage door each month .Look at the SPRINGS,CABLES,ROLLERS AND PULLEY for signs of wear.
DO NOT attempt to remove ,adjust or repair these parts or anything attached to them .A trained door repairman must make adjustment to these parts which are under high tension.
4- VERY IMPORTANT ,A SPRING ONLY HAS 10 000 CYCLES AND ANY THING OVER THAT IS RISKING YOUR ENTIRE HOUSEHOLD.

A TORSION SPRING SYSTEM
A tension spring system consists of one or two(spring-or double garage door) tightly wound up springs on a torsion tube with cable drums at both ends.
The entire apparatus mounts on the head room above the garage door and has three supports: a center bearing plate with a steel bearing and two end bearing plates at each end.
The torsion springs themselves consists of steel wire a stationary cone at one end and a winding cone at the other end.
The stationary cone is attached to the center bearing plate.
