Landscape Transformation Begins!
Urban Landscape Solutions (ULS) is excited to be part of a new landscaping project at Mouille Point – aimed at enhancing the stretch from the historic old Tent City site to the busy traffic lights. Thanks to a generous donation, this landscaping project is set to breathe new life into the area.

Work has already started near the Green Point Tennis Court, where barren patches are being transformed with an array of vibrant trees. The addition of resilient plants, colorful flowers, new paving, comfortable benches, and a unique giant chessboard will create a dynamic and engaging environment.

The design, crafted by the renowned Jan Blok, features a chessboard-inspired centerpiece surrounded by stylish paving and seating, all framed by majestic coral trees (Erythrina caffra). The landscape includes a mix of grasses like Aristida junciformis and Pennisetum, with striking accents of Aloe arborescens and colorful Gaura and Salvia. The integration of the chessboard with existing paths and cycle lanes invites visitors to enjoy both the beauty and functionality of the space. Future plans include a charming tea garden. A fully automatic irrigation system ensures sustainability and ease of maintenance. Urban Landscape Solutions is leading this eight-week project.
