Don't forget those Surge Arrestors people! Installed on you DB. So all your appliances are protected. No need for special plugs on each appliance. Go on your break knowing that your appliances won't suffer under a power surge.
And remember to check if your Earth Leakage is up to code before you go away. If it's not installed (older houses usually don't have them) or faulty, Insurance will not cover any power related claims...

Please note that all electrical appliances will also be coming out with the new plugs to match, so even though it's not compulsory to change your existing sockets, it's a good idea to start building an upgrade into your budget in the new year. Give us a call, and you're all set. We do combination plugs, so that you can still use your old appliances in the new sockets. YSElectrical, keeping you plugged in.

The new SANS 164-2 plug system should be much safer.

Your tickets are booked, your bags are packed, sun tan lotion bought in bulk, and your Biltong stash is vacuum packed.
But... have you done your routine maintenance check before you lock your doors and head out? Are all unnecessary plugs switched off? Have you put off your Geyser? Have you checked your Alarm's Backup Battery? When last did you have your Alarm System serviced? When last did you do a DB check? Have you used the test button on your EarthLeakage?
