Our Story — Fixing Things Runs in the Family
Some skills are learned. Others seem to run in the family.
For L&D Maintenance, it all started with Lionel.
At 48, Lionel was retrenched. With a family to provide for and a lifetime of practical skills and experience behind him, he decided to turn a difficult situation into an opportunity.
What began with servicing cars soon grew into helping people with property repairs, painting and general maintenance. Lionel had a knack for fixing things, finding solutions and getting the job done — and people began to trust him to do just that.
As word spread, so did the work. A connection with a Rawson rental agent opened the door to property maintenance on a larger scale, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the business.
But the story of L&D Maintenance is about more than one man starting a business. It's about a hands-on approach, a willingness to help and the kind of practical know-how that gets passed down through a family.
Because when fixing things runs in the family, it's about more than just the job. It's about the pride you take in your work, the solutions you find and the trust you build along the way.
More than 14 years later, those same values remain at the heart of L&D Maintenance — with family, experience and quality workmanship continuing to drive the business forward.
