INCIDENT REPORT
Gladiator Community Protection – Response Division

Incident Overview:

On 3 June 2026 at approximately 12:00, Gladiator received a request from SAPS for backup regarding an armed robbery that had occurred in Ext. 9, Carletonville.

Gladiator Tactical and Romeo 1 responded and arrived on scene together with SAPS members.

Upon arrival, officers were informed that four male suspects had entered a residence armed with a weapon and had stolen various household items, including electronic devices such as iPads.

The suspects reportedly fled the scene in a small white vehicle; however, the make, model, and registration number were unknown at the time.

While still on scene, Gladiator Tactical received information from a concerned community member regarding three individuals walking along Jack Pienaar Street carrying suspicious items.

Gladiator units responded to the area, where the caller provided the direction in which the individuals had travelled. Officers patrolled the area and successfully located the three suspects.

Upon questioning, the suspects stated that they had purchased the equipment in Botha Street. When requested to provide proof of purchase, no receipt or other proof could be produced.

SAPS was contacted to assist in verifying the situation.
Upon arrival, SAPS members also requested proof of purchase, which the suspects were unable to provide.
The suspects then changed their statement, claiming that they had purchased the items from an unknown male in the street.

The suspects were transported to the location where the alleged seller was waiting.

SAPS and Gladiator members questioned the individual, who denied selling any items to the suspects.

The suspects were subsequently arrested for the following: offences:
-Possession of suspected stolen property
-Possession of housebreaking implements
-Possession of drugs

Items recovered included:
- Mitre saw
- Panga
- Crowbar
- Various knives
- screwdrivers
