✅ Requirements:
• Valid firearm competency certificates
• Knowledge of PSIRA Grades E–A
• Training/Facilitator experience is an advantage
• Good communication skills
• Professional attitude
• Must be reliable and disciplined
•Matric
•Preference will be given to candidates who are SASSETA accredited or have experience in firearm and security training.

🎯 Responsibilities:
• Training students in firearm competencies
• Assisting learners with PSIRA courses
• Administration and student support

The Tupelo Police Department has recently received complaints involving “Orby guns,” gel blasters, splatter guns, and similar toy guns being used in neighborhoods.

The gun shown in the graphic is a toy Orbeez/splatter gun. While these are sold as toys, many look very realistic and can easily be mistaken for real fi****ms, especially from a distance or at night.

We ask parents and guardians to talk with their children about using them responsibly and not pointing or shooting them at strangers, passing vehicles, homes, or anyone who may not realize they are toys.

Situations involving realistic-looking guns can quickly create dangerous misunderstandings for both citizens and responding law enforcement.

We appreciate everyone helping us keep these situations from escalating into something more serious.
