GWR Roofing is a Category A Roof Installer registered with the Institute for Timber Construction South Africa (ITC-SA). We specialize in timber and lightweight steel roofing, roof sheeting and tile installation, waterproofing, and maintenance. Our focus on quality, safety, and efficiency makes us a trusted leader in the industry.

We are hiring a Project Manager to oversee roofing projects, ensuring on-time, high-quality installations.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Project Planning & Ex*****on
• Manage supply, delivery, and installation of roofing materials.
• Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Ensure timely procurement and logistics of trusses, sheeting, tiles, and waterproofing materials

✅ Team & Stakeholder Management
• Supervise roofing teams, subcontractors, and site supervisors.
• Communicate with builders, architects, engineers, and clients.
• Ensure quality control and project sign-offs

✅ Compliance & Safety
• Enforce building codes, safety regulations, and ITC-SA standards.
• Conduct site inspections and safety audits.
• Maintain compliance records and project documentation.

✅ Performance Monitoring & Reporting
• Track milestones, budgets, and material usage.
• Compile completion reports and manage claims.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Construction or Project Management.
• 3+ years’ experience in roofing, construction, or project management.
• Knowledge of timber & lightweight steel roofing systems.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and project tools.
• Valid driver’s license & willingness to travel.
• ITC-SA certification (advantageous).

GWR Roofing is looking for a Roofing Carpenter for immediate start.

You will be required to work alongside of a team of roofers. Work
includes installing timber trusses, tiling, sheeting and waterproofing.

Attributes:

Matric or equivalent recognized certification
Carpentry qualification
Experience in the roofing trade
Ability to effectively work with a crew of roofers
Skilled in the use of roofing tools and equipment
Ability to speak, read and write fluently in
English

Duties and responsibilities:

Perform general work in the installation and repair
of timber trusses, roof tiles and roof sheets
Install timber trusses as per layouts according to
ITC specifications
Install roof sheeting and flashings according to
industry standards
Assist in the determination of materials necessary
for performance of work
Follow orders as issued by the team leader

Safety:

Must be vaccinated or willing to be vaccinated for Covid 19
Ability to work safely at heights is essential

Cheaper is not better. The installation of simple R8.00 purlin clips would have stopped this disaster from happening.
