Surrounded by established greenery and a beautiful white pergola, this outdoor area already had plenty of character. The original exposed aggregate surface, however, did little to complement it.

The new warm-toned paving slabs make a noticeable difference, complementing the garden beautifully, while the brick edging provides a neat transition between the raised patio and adjoining surfaces.

Everything that gave the space its charm is still there, but the new finish brings the patio and its surroundings together beautifully.

Good paving should look as though it belongs to the property.

For this Cape Town project, that meant working around an established tree and ensuring the new paving connected properly with the existing surfaces.

The stone edging defined the different areas, while the paving and gravel brought Theo's original plan together.

The result was a finished space that worked naturally with the surrounding property.
