Just some advice to help you get your grass ready for the vibrant spring season:

Clean Up and Remove Debris: Start by giving your lawn a thorough clean-up. Remove fallen leaves, twigs, and any debris that may have accumulated over the winter months. This allows your grass to receive proper sunlight and air circulation.

Raking and Dethatching: If your lawn has a thatch buildup (layer of dead grass and roots), consider dethatching. Raking or using a dethatching tool can help remove this layer, promoting better water and nutrient absorption.

Aeration: Compacted soil can hinder grass growth. Aerating the soil using aeration tools or spiked shoes will help improve water pe*******on and oxygen flow to the grassroots.

Soil Testing: Conduct a soil test to assess pH and nutrient levels. Cape Town's soils can be acidic, so adjusting the pH with lime if necessary will create a healthier environment for your grass.

Over-seeding: Spring is an excellent time for over-seeding to fill in thin or bare patches. Choose a grass type suitable for Cape Town's climate, such as warm-season grasses like kikuyu or buffalo grass.
