1.. Striped small hallway
Elongate a small hallway, and add some interest, by painting horizontal stripes along one feature wall.
2. Make a narrow hallway appear bigger
In a dark and narrow corridor-style hallway, mount a large mirror on a wall to reflect light and make the space appear larger. Another way to make a space feel lighter is to paint the ceiling white and either lay down a light coloured flooring solution or add a non-slip, machine washable white or cream rug to the floor. This helps bounce natural light around the space.
3. Forget the console table, go for a shelf
In a small hallway, mount a free-standing shelf on the wall instead of buying a console table. This not only frees up valuable floor space, it’s a budget friendly option too! If you enjoy painting, you could fake a glam console table by painting ornate table legs under the floating shelf.
