Core aeration is a mechanical process, which extracts cores of soil, thatch and grass from the surface of the lawn to increase nutrient availability, water pe*******on, soil air exchange and reduce compaction.

Why is lawn aeration key to improving your lawns health and overall look? Over time a lawns soil becomes heavily compacted and hydrophobic to water due to heavy traffic, not enough water, and lack of soil micro nutrients. This can lead to it being very difficult for you lawn to thrive and continue to grow and spread thicker. Core aeration relieves compaction by pulling cores of soil out of the ground whilst improving drainage and allowing oxygen and nutrients to get down to the roots to ensure you have a better and healthier looking lawn. There a two types of tines to choose from when thinking about getting your lawn aerated, solid and hollow tines and each serve there own purpose. Hollow tines are best for lawns with heavy compaction which needs soil removed to ease the compaction. Get in touch today to see how we can help you.
