Plexiphon was responsible for Electrical PLC control and commissioning on this project - Ultrasonic level probe system on a cement manufacturing plant.

By monitoring the silo levels, the customer can plan and ensure constant supply of materials are available for production.

This week Plexiphon successfully upgraded the control systems on 6 gas furnaces.

Part of the upgrade was to implement a wireless remote control system to open and close furnace doors directly from a forklift cab.

Firstly, this reduces the risk for the forklift driver - he does not need to leave the safety of the cab to control the doors. Secondly this reduces heat losses during the periods when the furnace doors are open which results in an energy saving.
