Successfully completed the installation and commissioning of an 11kV RMU (Ring Main Unit) for our client in Polokwane. ⚡

The RMU supplies the transformer unit installed on the property, forming part of the MV distribution network and providing a reliable 800A LV output to the client’s internal electrical infrastructure.

Scope of works included the installation of the transformer unit as well as completion of all associated LT works within the premises.

Great work by the team delivering another safe and efficient MV/LV infrastructure project from start to finish. 🔧👏

Another successful overnight project completed by our team at Lanseria Airport.

We decommissioned and stripped out an existing 10kW UPS system with 32 batteries, and replaced it with a new 20kVA UPS installation complete with 38 x 100Ah batteries to support the radio tower infrastructure.

Started at 22:00 and worked through the night until 06:00 to ensure the upgrade was completed safely and efficiently with no downtime as the DB had the proper bypass CB’s.

Big credit to the team for the hard work, commitment, and attention to detail on this one. Proud to deliver reliable backup power solutions where uptime matters most.

Krugersdorp Medical Centre – Backup Power Installation Completed ⚡️

We recently completed the installation of 2 x 12kW Deye Hybrid Inverters and 2 x Freedom Won Lite 20/16 battery modules for our client in Noordheuwel.

During commissioning we discovered there was no line-to-line voltage on the incoming supply. Although the property originally had 3-phase power, the council had bridged the phases on the main breaker, leaving only a single phase active.

We logged a call with Mogale City, and this past Sunday their team assisted us with cable thumping. The cable was found to be severely damaged, requiring four joints to restore it.

At 20:30 on Sunday, 7 December, we finally switched on and were able to confirm a healthy 400V across all three phases.

We’re happy to report that the backup system is now fully operational — and in the new year we’ll be returning to complete the installation with 36 x 550W solar panels. ☀️🔋

🔧⚡ Project Update – Making Solar Work the Right Way ⚡🔧

At the end of November, a client reached out to us after realising that the solar system installed at his operation simply wasn’t working efficiently or effectively… and on top of that, the previous contractor was impossible to get hold of.

The client also requested a COC for the PV installation — unfortunately, we don’t issue COCs for work we did not perform. So we did the only thing we could do: we stripped everything. And I mean everything.

We rewired the full system, installed new cable, fitted new switchgear, upgraded the battery cabling to 95mm (previous was only 50mm), and thoroughly tested every connection and continuity to ensure the installation is safe, compliant and performing exactly how it should.

We are closing new installations on the 12th of December, but the panels will definitely be installed in the new year — and we can’t wait to get this system running the way it was meant to.
