We are members of the South African Council for Professional and Technical Surveyors (PLATO) and are authorised to sign for all surface and underground surveys for all mining operations. Collectively we have over 50 years of underground mining and surface surveying experience. WE ARE QUALIFIED TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING TASKS:
All surface surveying i.e. coordinating of points, levelling, tache sur
veys, contouring, profiles etc. Cut and fill calculations. Dump and quarry surveys complete with section and volume calculations, slope and watershed analysis. Roads, sewerage and storm water surveys. Rehabilitation and landscaping to designed slope parameters. Ore Resource Management with an emphasis on quality and compliance. All underground surveys, levelling, gyro bases, check surveys and borehole deflection calculations. Draughting documents and plans. These are done on Microstation (Version 8), AutoCAD or Cadsmine. We also offer Mine design and scheduling for projects and Life of mine. All survey work is done with a real time GPS and/or total station. We have some of the latest and technically sophisticated survey instruments available e.g. the Trimble R8, MDL scanner, Trimble S6 theodolites with scanning facilities, the VX robotic spatial scanner and precise and electronic levels and the Gatewing X100 UAV. Ivan Suzor
Ivan worked for the Surveyor General’s Office in Mowbray, Cape Town and obtained a National Diploma in Topography in 1978. He joined Johannesburg Consolidated Investments (JCI) mines in 1980 and completed a National Higher Diploma in Mine Surveying in 1984. Ivan then obtained the Mine Surveyor's Certificate of Competency (Certificate No 1654) in 1986. This entitles him to be legally appointed under regulation 17(2) to be responsible for the survey mapping and mine plans on any mining operation. He is registered with the South African Council for Professional and Technical Surveyors (PLATO) (Membership No MS 0097). Keith Desselss
Keith has a National Diploma in Mine Surveying which he achieved in 1986. He has extensive experience in both underground and surface surveying. Keith is responsible for and supervises all our senior surveyors, surveyors and trainees. RATES
