On Wednesday we assisted the technicians to find a fault on their testing station at the airport. This panel is where they control the aeroplane engine from when they work on it. It's like a dyno for planes

Due to damage to 3 transformers during last night's storm there will be alternate 12 hr load shedding between areas for the next 2-3 days. Power will be off either from 06:00 to 18:00 or 18:00 to 06:00. No roll call for Krugersdorp CPF Sector 4 members during this time to save the repeater batteries for emergencies. Make sure your radio's are charged at all times.

The power outages also affect the pump at the reservoir so please also use water sparingly during this time.

Krugersdorp has once again felt the full force of a storm when the town was left without power after a substation was struck by lightning.
