🚧At Signs-R-Us we continue to manufacture high quality road signage for valued clients across the region.🚧

Our team supplies not only throughout South Africa but far beyond our borders, supporting key infrastructure routes across the continent.🌍

These signs are now on their way to Mozambique for installation along the N4 from the border through to Maputo.🇲🇿 We produced thirty units for this project, each built with high visibility reflective material and engineered for reliability and safety.🚨⚠️

⚠️At Signs-R-Us we recently manufactured and installed a high visibility, dual arrow mounted sign for one of our valued clients.⚠️

The unit features high intensity reflective chevrons, a compliant roadworks warning sign and a fully integrated LED arrow board system ensuring maximum visibility and safety when their teams are operating on active roads. 🚧🚨

Built for durability and performance, this setup is engineered to withstand demanding conditions and continuous use, utilising Orafol SA Graphics And Materials’s high grade reflective material to ensure optimal visibility and long lasting effectiveness.

💡Fun fact: LED arrow boards draw far less power than traditional lamps which allows for significantly longer operating time in the field without draining battery systems.🔋

🚧 High-Visibility Safety Signs, Built for the Most Demanding Conditions 🚧

From “Poor Visibility” warnings to flagman and roadwork signs, these units are designed for maximum attention and durability in high-risk areas.

Each sign is fitted with extra-high visibility reflective sheeting, flag mounts, and robust frames, ensuring they stand out in even the toughest environments. Perfect for roadworks, diversions, and hazardous conditions like fog or dust.

This batch includes custom signage for the R21 Sinkhole Repair Diversion, keeping motorists informed and road crews protected.

💡 Did you know? According to the National Road Traffic Act, Act 93 of 1996, flagging procedures are strictly regulated, flags must be at least 600 x 600 mm and made of durable orange or red cloth, to ensure maximum visibility to approaching traffic. 🚩

We recently manufactured and supplied these high-visibility warning and safety signs for an open cast mine.

These signs were designed to clearly warn the public and workers of the hazards associated with the site, including cyanide, radiation, drowning, and non-potable water.

Safety signage like this plays a vital role in preventing accidents and protecting both people and the environment.

Our team at Signs-R-Us recently manufactured and supplied this LED enhanced solar-powered STOP sign for an open cast mine in Mpumalanga.

This sign was specifically designed for an extremely high-risk crossing inside the mining site, where visibility and awareness can make all the difference in preventing accidents. The LED illumination ensures maximum visibility day and night, while the solar panels make it completely self-sufficient and reliable even in remote areas.

💡 Fun Fact: The world’s first STOP sign appeared in Detroit, USA, in 1915, it was just black letters on a white background! Since then, the iconic red octagon has become a universal symbol for safety across the globe.

🚧 WHEN ACCIDENTS HAPPEN, TEAMWORK COUNTS 🚧

A few months ago, we proudly manufactured and installed a series of gantry signs. Recently, we received the unfortunate news that one of these brand-new gantries had already been damaged by a truck, something that can happen on busy roads.

Instead of letting it delay the project, we quickly shifted our production schedule to prioritise remanufacturing the replacement sign. Thanks to the incredible support from P & L Machine Moving and Rigging, who generously made their crane truck available to us, we were able to get the job done swiftly and safely.

In the signage industry, as in life, accidents are sometimes unavoidable. But having the right people, the right resources, and a strong network of partners makes all the difference in getting things back on track.

We’re proud to share our latest project, a massive 12m x 3m sign proudly manufactured and installed for Helpmekaar Kollege.

Standing tall next to the rugby field, this sign is impossible to miss and adds a bold visual presence to the school grounds. It’s not just a piece of branding, it’s a statement that reflects Helpmekaar’s pride and identity.

💡 Fun fact: South Africa has one of the strongest schoolboy rugby cultures in the world, with matches often drawing crowds that rival professional games and producing many Springboks straight from the school fields. That’s why standout branding around the field is so important.

🚧 BIG, BOLD & BUILT TO LAST 🚧

Another giant is on the move! This 14m x 3.8m overhead gantry sign is headed to Durban, proudly manufactured by Signs-R-Us, to full SARTSM specifications.

For this project, we used ORAFOL South Africa’s Brilliant Grade Class IV for the lettering and Class III HIP for the blue background, a trusted combination that ensures high visibility and long-term performance on busy, high-speed freeways.

💡 Did you know? The N3, connecting Johannesburg and Durban, spans approximately 578 km and is one of the busiest freight corridors in the Southern Hemisphere. With high traffic volumes day and night, signage along this route plays a critical role in safety and navigation.
