EDG Northern Cape is seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced Senior Collision Prevention System (CPS) Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of collision prevention and proximity detection systems on site.

🎯 Minimum Requirements:
* Matric (Grade 12) – compulsory
* Valid driver’s licence – compulsory
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in collision prevention systems
* Proven experience working in a mining environment

⚙️ Key Responsibilities:
✔️ Install, configure, commission, and maintain Collision Prevention Systems (CPS) and Proximity Detection Systems (PDS)
✔️ Ensure optimal system performance and minimal downtime
✔️ Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs
✔️ Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with site standards and safety regulations

💡 Advantageous Experience:
* Auto Electrical / Electrical background and experience
* Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
* Knowledge of CAS/CPS systems
* Good understanding of wiring diagrams
* Experience working on 12V and 24V electrical systems

⚠️ Health & Safety Requirements:
* Must comply with all Health & Safety requirements applicable on a mining site

✔️ Install and repair wiring and fuses
✔️ Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot electrical problems, including CAS/CPS-related faults
✔️ Conduct regular maintenance checks and inspections of electrical systems

✔️ Ensure that all work complies with relevant safety and environmental regulations
