Not every setting-out job needs a fancy instrument. Sometimes it’s a hammer, a bundle of stakes, some duct tape… and knowing exactly where that level needs to be.
For earthworks, this is still one of the simplest and most practical methods of setting and transferring levels on site.
No glamour.
