Here are some more useful tips for keeping your Kiku lawn looking great:-
Watering:
* Water deeply to encourage deep root growth, which makes the lawn more drought-resistant. Instead of light, frequent watering, give it a good soak once or twice a week in summer, applying about 2.5cm of water each time. You can check if it needs water by pushing a screwdriver into the soil - if it goes in easily, the soil is moist enough.
Mowing:
* Keep the grass height between 3-5 cm. Mowing it at this height will help to keep the roots cool and prevent weeds from growing. It's best to leave the clippings on the lawn as a natural fertilizer.
Fertilizing:
* Use a nitrogen-rich fertilizer during the growing seasons of spring and summer to keep it green and healthy. A slow-release fertilizer is a good option. It's best to fertilize every 6-8 weeks during these seasons.
Seasonal Care:
* In autumn, you can raise the mowing height slightly to help the lawn prepare for winter. In winter, it will go dormant, so you won't need to water or fertilize it as much.
