Howdy everyone, I'm happy to announce the launch of a new and exciting business venture!
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Devon Wadsworth. I'm a 25 year old from Montana, USA who moved here to be with the love of my life.
My family and I have experienced lots of ups and downs since I came to South Africa. I was an ALS Paramedic and had hoped to work on an ambulance and try to make some difference in this community. After my certification couldn't be transferred from the States, I had to fall back on my passion for carpentry to support my family, and now I'm hoping to use that to make a difference where I can. I started out taking over my father in law's hobby business that he kindly handed down - The Old Oak Custom Woodworking.
Both my family and my skillset have grown since then, and we have decided that we're ready to try and build something of our own that God willing I can hand down to my children someday. I believe in openness, honesty and straightforward business and providing a quality product for a fair price. I take pride in my craftsmanship and in seeing that the job gets done right. I see every person who I do work for as a person first and a customer second and I think that makes a difference. From the start we have been blessed with business, advice and support from this awesome community. It's a humbling experience to grow my business alongside the growing community in the Midlands and I can't wait to continue offering my skillset to help you turn your house into a home!
