Some time ago, Siya came to me with a simple request — not for a salary or compensation, but for an opportunity. An opportunity to learn, to grow, and to build a better future for himself and his family.

Looking back, giving that opportunity has been one of the best decisions I’ve made — and what has followed since then speaks for itself.

From day one, you’ve shown what real commitment looks like. You arrive ready, you stay willing, and you push yourself to improve every single day. You don’t wait to be told — you step up. You don’t avoid challenges — you take them on. And what stands out most is how quickly you’ve grown… to the point where you’re sometimes even teaching experienced artisans something new.

That kind of progress doesn’t come by chance. It comes from hunger, discipline, and a mindset that refuses to settle.

This photo captures more than just a moment on the job — it reflects the attitude behind it: focused, determined, and fully invested in the work.

Siya, your journey is proof that when someone has the will, they will always find a way. And as a company, we are proud to have you as part of the team. Your work ethic, your attitude, and your willingness to learn set a standard that others can look up to.

I must be honest — you’ve given me just as much in return. You’ve reminded me that taking a chance on someone who is willing, hungry, and committed is never a risk — it’s an investment.

Your attitude, your drive, and the way you approach every task have reinforced something important: skill can be taught, but mindset is everything. And you came with the right mindset from day one.

Keep that same energy and humility. It will take you further than you can imagine.

Proud of the progress you’ve made — and even more of what’s still ahead of you.

Currently attending the Easigas Contractors Forum 2026.

It’s encouraging to see contractors and client representatives engaging openly on safety performance, incident prevention, and the importance of sound decision-making on site. These discussions are not just about compliance — they are about alignment, accountability, and continuous improvement.

As contractors, we play a critical role in translating standards and expectations into safe work ex*****on on the ground. Forums like this ensure we remain aligned with Easigas’ safety vision and operational requirements.

Looking forward to the continued engagement and shared learning throughout the session.

As we step into 2026, Swift Engineering is taking a moment to reflect on what 2025 delivered and the resilience it demanded from all of us.

2025 was not an easy year. It tested our adaptability, our endurance, and our ability to stay focused under pressure. Despite the challenges, Swift Engineering continued to deliver across multiple projects and environments — a testament to the commitment of our people and the trust of our loyal clients and partners. Your continued support made it possible for us not only to navigate a demanding year, but to emerge stronger, more capable, and better positioned for what lies ahead.

Through it all, safety, quality, and accountability remained central to how we operate. Behind every completed scope was a team that showed up, solved problems, and upheld the standards we are known for — often under difficult conditions.

As we reset for the year ahead, our focus is clear: our people. Whether working on site, in workshops, in offices, or supporting projects behind the scenes, wellbeing matters. Looking after the basics, staying connected, setting healthy boundaries, and speaking up early when support is needed all play a role in sustaining long-term performance.

For those leading teams, the responsibility goes beyond delivery. Regular check-ins, open conversations, and modelling healthy behaviours help build resilient teams that can meet challenges without compromising safety or wellbeing.

Thank you to our teams, families, clients, and partners for standing with us through a demanding year. As we move into 2026, we do so with gratitude, confidence, and a shared commitment to working safely, supporting one another, and continuing to deliver with integrity at Swift Engineering.

Captured this perspective while working on the combustion chamber assembly of a gas turbine — always an impressive reminder of the complexity and precision behind these systems.

Even with such intricate equipment beneath our feet, the team continues to demonstrate disciplined ex*****on: controlled lifting, proper rigging, clear communication, and full compliance with work-at-height and exclusion-zone protocols.

High-risk environments demand high-quality behaviours, and I’m proud to see our team consistently delivering safe, efficient, and professional work.

Here’s some impressive crane action for you today.

A night clip from Suzhou North in China shows a massive field of cranes at work, giving a real sense of the scale of the redevelopment currently underway.

This project is the largest transport investment in Suzhou’s history.

Although we operate many cranes across our own global construction sites, what’s happening here is on an entirely different level.

Project Overview

Construction of the Suzhou North Railway Station Comprehensive Transport Hub started on 24 February 2025.

The existing high-speed station continues to operate throughout the redevelopment.

The upgrade will transform the entire precinct into a fully integrated interchange connecting high-speed rail, intercity rail and urban rail systems.

This major renovation is part of Suzhou’s strategy to become a “national comprehensive transportation hub.”
It will strengthen Jiangsu’s transport capabilities and support the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region.

China and Japan continue to lead the world in high-speed rail development, and this project is another example of that leadership.

Capacity & Scale

Once the expansion is complete, Suzhou North Railway Station will include:

10 platforms
24 tracks

A station building with a total floor area of approximately 170,000 m²

Engineering & Design Approach

The engineering strategy centers on combining multiple rail systems into a single, coordinated node.

Key benefits include:

Shorter transfer times

Removal of redundant infrastructure

Better performance across the entire network—especially important in regions with extremely high daily rail traffic

The project also ties into Suzhou’s long-term vision for a fully integrated transport system that supports the ongoing growth of the delta.

Multi-level separation will be used to run different rail lines on separate underground levels, with a clear concourse above.
This reduces structural conflicts and keeps passenger flow smooth and efficient.

Construction Challenges

One of the biggest hurdles is construction sequencing.

Crews are building new concourses, metro links, and high-speed rail sections right next to active rail lines, requiring precise staging and constant monitoring.

Designers have also allowed space for future rail routes so they can be added later without major reconstruction.

This forward planning ensures the hub can handle rising demand well into the future

Came across a picture today and wanted to ask all of you — what do you see when you look at it? What do you think it represents? Does it carry any real meaning, or is it simply a clever reflection?

For me, it really made me pause and think about how it relates to our day-to-day work.

The message behind the picture is quite strong: many people show up on site or in the office every day, fully present and giving their best, yet they still feel unseen. We often notice only what’s right in front of us — like the shoes in the picture — while the full person, their effort and dedication, goes unnoticed, like the reflection.

It’s something that can happen easily in a busy project environment. Some team members work behind the scenes, some complete tasks nobody gets to witness, and others push through challenges quietly without expecting a thank-you. But each of them plays an important role.

Inclusion isn’t just a corporate term — it’s something that needs to be lived within every team. It’s about making sure every person, regardless of their position or responsibility, feels valued and acknowledged.

Everyone deserves to be part of the team.
Everyone deserves to have a voice.
Everyone deserves to belong.

When people feel seen, they communicate better. When people feel appreciated, they give their best. And when everyone feels included, the whole project moves forward stronger.

This picture was a reminder that every one of us contributes to the bigger picture.

Maybe take a moment today to think about who on our project might need a bit more support, recognition, or visibility.
