Overberg Arborists is looking for a hardworking Groundsman to join our tree crew.

No experience? No problem, we'll teach you.
But you must be tough, reliable, and genuinely love working outdoors.

What you'll do:

🪵 Ground support for climbing operations
🚜 Chipping, loading & site clean-up
🛠️ Working with a skilled, passionate arboriculture team

What we're looking for:

✅ Physically fit. This is real, hard work
✅ Reliable & punctual (early mornings are standard)
✅ Eager to learn and grow in the trade
✅ Previous outdoor/labouring experience is a bonus, not a must

This is not a desk job. It's early mornings, hard work, late finishes, 
And it's completely worth it if trees are your thing.

What you'll do:

🪚 Aerial pruning, removals & rigging
🪢 Climbing with a skilled, passionate team
🌿 Real arboriculture work across the Overberg

What we need from you:

✅ Proven climbing experience
✅ References
✅ Physically fit & reliable
✅ A genuine passion for the work

Taking a moment with this one.

Van Hunks really left its mark across the Western Cape. So many trees came down. So many homes, gardens, roads and people were affected.

This was one of many.

Hard to see a tree that stood for years pulled out the ground like that.

Thinking of everyone still cleaning up and finding their feet again. We’re out there doing what we can.
