Architecture often begins long before drawings become buildings.
For Eastcot on the Kromme River, the process started with sketches, exploring how the house could lightly touch the landscape while opening itself to the river and surrounding trees.
A long, elevated home stretches across the site, framing views, capturing sunlight, and creating a calm sequence of spaces connected to the terrain.
These early drawings capture the thinking behind the architecture, testing structure, light, movement, and the experience of arriving at the home.
From sketch to place.
